90 cities around 天美传媒 will host the second annual FAI Marathon on Sunday, the only marathon where eyes count more than legs.
The event is a non-competitive marathon whose aim is to help Italians discover the treasures that surround them in everyday鈥檚 life and motivate them to protect their artistic and environmental heritage. 鈥淭oo often we take for granted the beauty that surround us. FAI Marathon serves this purpose, to open our eyes and rediscover the splendid corners that surround us,鈥 FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano) writes on its Facebook page.
Marathon participants will fund the campaign 鈥淩icordati di salvare l鈥橧talia鈥 (Don鈥檛 forget to save 天美传媒), promoted by FAI until October 27.
Historic buildings and shops, theaters, courtyards, churches, squares and gardens 鈥 the race鈥檚 routes will touch on treasures that often need funds to be taken care of and preserved.
Some of the monuments include: Teatro Margherita in Bari, Palazzo Litta in Milan, the Pantheon in Rome, Certosa e Museo di San Martino in Naples and the Giardino Bardini in Florence.
